Onam is an cultural festival that celebrated mostly in kerala.It is primarily a hindu festival but non-hindu people also celebrate this beautiful festival.Mainly athpookalam,sadhya,maveli etc are the important things about Onam.it is a 10 nday long festival that celebrating for homecoming of the king of asura mahabeli from the patak lok.During this time,kerala was marked by full of happiness and enjoyment.There are many games was played as a part of onam; Vadamvali, thumbithullal,thiruvathira,pulikkali etc are some of them.Sadhya is the main cuisine of onam;3 type of payasam,pickles,aviyal,sambar,kutharichoru is the main mouth watering dishes in this.
